The Aleppo Codex Mystery: How Adonai’s name was found – Shabbat Night Live – 10/27/17

The Aleppo Codex is the most accurate copy of the Bible in existence. It was written in 924 by Aaron ben Moses ben Asher. To this day, when they want to print a Bible in Hebrew they base it on the Aleppo Codex. Nehemia Gordon’s (Hebrew Scholar) job was to match the new copies of the Bibles in Hebrew to the Aleppo Codex in accuracy. After years of working with the Aleppo Codex, Nehemia finally found the vowel points that we needed to be able to pronounce the name of God.

Join Michael Rood and Nehemia Gordon as they search the Aleppo Codex for the vowel points that help us pronounce the name of our Creator.
