Week 101 Numbers 4:34-4:49 Overview
Our portion this week is the detailed conclusion of last week’s portion commanding Moses to number the men of the three sons of Levi thirty to fifty years old. While the content of the portion is based entirely upon the report of the numbers of eligible men from among the families of the Kohathites, the Gershonites, and the Merarites, the true focus of our portion is the obedience of Moses and the Levites to the commandment of YHWH.
