Michael Rood filed a petition in Federal Court to restrain Mr. James R. Louis from engaging in activities which cause confusion among and could potentially defraud the supporters of Michael Rood’s ministry. The Federal Restraining Order was granted, and we hereby submit the following statement on our website in compliance with the judge’s order:

Michael John Rood and James R Louis are named as parties in a civil action in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, case number 1:07-CV-1225, which involves a dispute over the ownership, control, and use of the names “A Rood Awakening,” “A Rood Awakening Ministries,” the “Rood Crew,” and “A Rood Awakening TV.”

Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Our legal action was necessary to protect the innocent and guard the public trust. It is no honor to turn a blind eye to ongoing deceit. Both Mr. Louis and the fraudulently composed panel will now answer to the Federal Court for their thinly veiled aspirations and malicious attempts to elevate their public personas by destroying my message and ministry.
